On Friday, March 11, 2016, IIBN-NY, along with IN-NYC, hosted a breakfast event at the American Irish Historical Society with guest speaker, Mark Redmond, Chief Executive at American Chamber of Commerce Ireland. The theme for the discussion was "US Business Investment in Ireland; Under Threat or Built to Last?".

In the captivating discussion and Q&A that followed Mark covered topics such as; the impact that Brexit would have on the Irish economy, the impact that the outcome of the US Presidential election may have on U.S. investment in Ireland (noting that Irish companies in the U.S. employ as many people as U.S companies in Ireland) and the factors that attract U.S. investment to Ireland beyond the much debated corporation tax rate.

A special thank you to our Mark and our hosts at the American Irish Historical Society.
